One of my favorite mammals to photograph is the Elephant seal. From the first time I encountered this animal in Patagonia, I was looking for opportunities to photograph them. Where I live in Santa Barbara California, I'm lucky to be only 10 minutes drive from one colony and my favorite is an hour plus away near San Semion. I usually work in a close distance (1-3 meters) from them.
